dj rick began his DJ career in 1995 in private partys and bars .
As a child he noticed his attraction to computer technology and to audio technique by which was surrounded at home.
He was inspired by his uncle, who was one of the first dj's in the town.
He also provided him with an environment overfulfilled with different styles of music. For example: hip hop, disco, pop and of course electronic music.
In years of listening at the end of 1994 rick reached the moment when he met the typical techno sound and became aware of the energy of the dance music.
At that time he started to experiment mixing with his computer. Later rick start mixing with turntables and cdj`s . in 1995 came his first gigs , and has never stopped performing .Having worked in Pubs & Clubs and Bars in his home town in Portugal .He moved to Jersey (Channel Island) and soon starte playing in a few bars & pubs and night clubs in town ( folies d'amour , Sinergy etc )
.dj Rick is the resident dj at St James wine bar & night club from 2004 till now.
